Collection: Stora Skuggan

Stora Skuggan is a Swedish niche perfume house founded in Stockholm in 2015 by Anna Barkne, Tomas Hempel, Olle Hemmendorff, Jonas Nordin, and Martin Nicolausson. This multidisciplinary collective approaches perfumery as world-building, starting from obscure myths, forgotten historical episodes, scientific oddities, and fictional stories.

The fragrance, illustration, packaging, and visual identity are developed in-house as parts of the same concept, so no element serves merely as an adornment for another. The name means The Great Shadow and defines the mysterious, shifted atmosphere that connects the collection, even though each perfume has its own theme. On the skin, Stora Skuggan acts as convincing proof for a story you were never sure was true.
