Marlou is an independent French niche perfume house founded in Paris in 2016 by Briac Frocrain. The brand explores the intimate relationship between perfume, skin, and the natural scent of the human body, giving the body its own social and sensual language. Animalic notes and leather accords deliberately blur the line between purity and instinct, elegance and imperfection.

Frocrain's background in architecture and fashion has shaped an approach that moves away from visual impression and closer to touch, memory, and physical presence. Perfumes are not applied over the skin to mask its scent, but rather blend with it to create a new olfactory personality. The material philosophy is equally restrained: glass, cork, aluminum, uncoated paper, and as little plastic as possible. Marlou does not feign purity on the skin — it is interested in the human element that remains beneath it.
