Collection: Gravel

Gravel is an American niche perfume house founded by Michael B. Knudsen in New York in 1957. His Gravel a Man’s Cologne appeared at a time when perfumes for men were not yet common in the USA, thus laying the foundation for a house focused on the personal relationship between scent and skin. Each composition is designed to develop differently on the person wearing it and to evoke personal memories and stories over time.

A recognizable part of the house's identity are its hand-finished bottles filled with pebbles from the Hudson River. After the brand's revival under the leadership of Christian Blessing in 2018, Gravel continues to develop a collection based on its own New York history and craftsmanship. On the skin, Gravel remains classic without stiffness, like an object whose value is created by long use.
