Hudson River

The Hudson is not a tranquil river outside the city; it carries its weight, speed, and constant movement. GRAVEL Hudson River begins as a cooler breeze over the water and ends in warm wood, tonka, and vanilla.

Bergamot and geranium open the fragrance brightly, green, and aromatically. Geranium provides a slightly metallic floral sharpness that prevents the citrus from feeling too soft.

Lavender, coriander, and cardamom then create a spicy heart. Lavender brings neatness, coriander dry greenery, and cardamom a cool aromatic depth.

Michael Knudsen builds the composition as an homage to the power and energy of the Hudson River. Instead of a literal aquatic note, he uses the movement between a fresh opening and a robust woody base.

Tonka, vanilla, cedar, and noble woods later warm up the fragrance. The sweetness remains moderate, more like the smooth surface of wood than a classic gourmand finish.
