Metal Fougere

A classic barbershop is plated in metal here: lavender, moss, and coumarin are still in place, but a cold industrial sheen passes through them. MIGUEL MATOS Metal Fougere travels simultaneously into the past and the future.

Bergamot, lime, clove, and nutmeg open the extrait with citrus and spice. Aldehydes cast a dazzling cleanliness over everything, and then lavender emerges, firm and aromatic like a clear link to traditional fougère.

Rosyrane and geranium add a rosy-green freshness, while Sclarene introduces a more modern, dry, and unusual tone. The metallic effect doesn't feel like a single note of steel but rather a cold surface stretched over a familiar structure.

Miguel Matos finds inspiration in two vintage icons, Fabergé Brut and Italian Felce Azzurra. Fougère wasn't initially close to him, but through learning, he grew to love it enough to dismantle and reassemble its foundations.

Musk, vanilla, iris, oakmoss, Cetalox, and coumarin later create a powdery-sweet, mossy base. The lavender settles, but the metallic sheen remains above it like the future imprinted on an old formula.

Metal Fougere is not a nostalgic copy of an aftershave. It is lavender and moss under aldehydes, Cetalox, and a cold metal plate — Brut and Felce Azzurra sent through a time machine.
