The tulip bends, revealing its sticky green interior, and suddenly it's no longer an innocent spring decoration. L'ENTROPISTE Semence Douce captures that suggestive moment between opening and decay.
Almond milk provides a creamy, soft warmth, but without being a heavy dessert. Saffron weaves a dry, precious, and slightly leathery tone through it, immediately giving the sweetness a more serious tension.
Bertrand Duchaufour places the tulip at the center, rarely so clearly named in a perfume composition. Its greenness feels fresh and juicy, while the resinous aspect leaves a slightly sticky trail, like sap on a broken stem.
On the skin, tulip and resin alternate with milky almond. At times, the scent is bright and delicate; at others, warmer, more mature, and closer to the body; saffron keeps the two sides connected.
If you desire marzipan from almond or transparent floral water from tulip, Semence Douce will not give you either in their pure form. Its allure lies in the strange fertility of green sap, milk, and resin.
It ends like a drop of almond milk on a bent tulip stem, tinged with saffron—a small cycle of birth and fading that continues with each new inhale.
